See for yourself why PLM is so important to the modern fashion business. Digital processes are the new normal.

What is WFX Cloud PLM and how has it become so important to the fashion industry?

Efficient product management needs good tools. Fashion businesses who try to manage their growth without the right systems tend to overcompensate with complicated workarounds, extra staff, unnecessary overtime and an acceptance of frustration amongst their teams.

Thousands of designers, product developers, garment technologists, buyers and supply-chain managers still rely on a series of spreadsheets and overflowing email inboxes every day, while they rush to manage one of the most complex development processes found anywhere.

It really is no wonder that fashion is full of inefficiencies, with the leadership always relying on individuals to pull together complex information in a variety of spreadsheets to allow simple business decisions to be made.

WFX is the Cloud based solution for fashion, sportswear, footwear and related lifestyle product businesses. More than 20 years ago, what is now a flexible PLM and product management system started off as an online tool to build fashion tech packs. It does that extremely well and in addition allows smaller clients to start running smooth processes across their development cycle. It also allows enterprise level clients to bring their product teams into an environment that is completely integrated with the rest of the business systems.

Why should your teams use
WFX to improve Your Business?

More than 35.000 industry professional log into WFX when they start their working day. It is their main workspace and has replaced the spreadsheets, manual reports, strings of difficult to relate correspondence and shared drives.

When your future sales rely on the quality, timely arrival and cost-prices of your collection it is not difficult to justify having a system that gives full visibility on the processes that get your product from concept to launch.

WFX PLM users report significant increases in product development capacity, shorter launch cycles, better collections and earlier visibility on potential margin issues. This is not surprising. All of these effects are expected when you connect all the dots in your processes, which is what WFX does really well.

The best time to start working in WFX? Before your team starts drowning in spreadsheets, duplicated or incorrect fashion tech packs and missed deadlines.

Fashion PLM that is used by over 35000 industry professionals - WFX

WFX for private label suppliers

The Cloud based WFX PLM system has numerous features which are ideal for those businesses who make collections or products for other brands or retailers.

Register the requirements and demands from your client’s buyer in sales orders, create first techpacks which incorporate their specification, create collection plans, budgets and target costs specifically for that client’s range, track the progress of the product development and production including milestones, sign-off events and approvals. Control is so important, especially when your buyer wants to know if you are hitting timelines, budgets or if their samples have been sent or approved.

But, WFX is not a tool which can only work in isolation. The very flexible export facilities can bring that product information to other systems, so that the next stages in your product, client and supplier related data stream can be dealt with. No more double or triple entering of data, no more trying to format a csv file for import…

Some of the worlds largest sourcing houses are using WFX to manage the development for their clients and the sourcing interactions with their suppliers.

Does that sound interesting? Then simply contact us if you would like to see how WFX could streamline your workflow, increase your capacity and improve the visibility across your processes.

WFX for growing brands and retailers

Keeping track of everything that happens around your collection development, product approvals and sourcing can be a real challenge.

The WFX PLM system was built to make that easier, quicker, more efficient and ultimately, more controllable. The team has more than 20 years of experience in providing WFX Cloud based systems to fashion, sportswear, footwear and other lifestyle product businesses. When you go through your overview of the platform, you can really see how this evolution has created an incredibly fluid and user-friendly working environment.

Brands and retailers across the world make up a large proportion of the more than 35000 industry professional who log into the WFX Cloud based PLM system every day. They plan their collections, create their fashion tech packs (product specifications), interact with their suppliers, arranges prototypes and other samples, manage approval processes, complete milestones, negotiate on costs, set prices and generally gain a high level of control over all their developments.

If you are looking for ‘enter only once’ type efficiency in a highly visual and intuitive environment for your product and sourcing teams, let us know! We will be more than happy to arrange your WFX Cloud PLM overview.

Digitise your inspection process and fully integrate your quality controllers with your technical and supply chain management. The WFX Quality Audit Suite lets you assign your quality controllers to inspection events. This could for instance involve a purchase order which is ready for shipment at the manufacturing location, subject to approval of the goods.

Your inspector uses the WFX iPad app to perform the steps involved in the AQL inspection and submits the results directly to your team for further action.

The suite comprises of the head office module (which can read from purchase orders and products in the system), the system access for your quality controllers and their iPad apps which they use to work on site.

The iPad app also allows the quality controller to work off-line, so inspections can be carried out without the need to use an unreliable or insecure internet connection.

The WFX Buying Plan module inserts the capability to plan, approve and place buys for one or more channels or markets.

Whilst doing this the system allocates channel specific size ratio’s, raises pre-approved purchase orders for each channel or market and also keeps your buying team informed of their spent amounts versus their budgets.

It is a great tool, allowing you to automate, save time, create visibility across channel and market requirements and move your forecasting process away from more manual methods.

The WFX system, by default, already allows you to assign the information which is typically used on labelling and packaging. However, if your business (or a supply partner) would like to print batches of labels directly from the WFX system this module enables you to do just that.

The Label & Ticket Printing module is able to read from both product and purchase order information and applies the information (including barcodes) into layouts that are directly linked to your preferred printing machine.

Clients who have added this module to their WFX PLM system use this to print care labels, waistband overriders, swing tickets and labels which are applied to packaging.
